Social interactions have shifted dramatically in recent years, with many people approaching conversations with heightened anxiety. This often results in tense, transactional exchanges, particularly in customer service. According to a study by the Harvard Business Review, 80% of consumers prefer a human touch over automated responses, yet companies increasingly rely on impersonal scripts that fail to address deeper concerns effectively.
Communication barriers impact both personal relationships and professional environments. Research shows that poor communication is responsible for 86% of workplace failures (SHRM). In larger teams, decision-making often stalls due to too many conflicting voices, while smaller teams can suffer from micromanagement and stifled creativity. For example, in a tech startup I worked with, 40% of projects needed redoing due to unclear communication, resulting in missed deadlines and wasted resources. Addressing these challenges with clear and empathetic communication is key to improving outcomes.

Communication is the foundation for progress and connection. In March 2025, I’m beginning a new chapter as a self-employed professional, focused on fostering meaningful connections within the massage therapy industry—a field rooted in empathy and healing.
Up to 70% of massage therapists feel overworked and underappreciated
(AMTA, 2023). My goal is to change this by combining data science expertise with my passion for wellness, providing therapists with the tools and support they need to thrive.
By promoting dialogue and knowledge-sharing within the industry, I aim to create a supportive, innovative environment that strengthens therapist-client relationships and transforms how we communicate.

In our digital era, simplicity in communication is essential. Face-to-face interactions, thoughtful questions, and open discussions remain our most powerful tools to cut through the noise of texts and notifications.
I’m excited to share this journey, building a community rooted in empathy and understanding. Together, we can navigate the complexities of communication, fostering clarity and confidence in our interactions.
Let’s prioritize progress defined by human connection, not technology.
Join me in reclaiming the conversation and creating a future of collaboration and understanding.
